Ohh CHRISTmas Tree!!!!

Our CHRISTmas trees have SOOOO much meaning to me. The decorating of the Christmas tree is a tradition that I hope to instill in my kids so one day they will share with their families the legacy I am building with them.
See my tree is so much more significant to me than just a tree.... It holds our family legacy .... it reflects years and decades gone by through the ornaments that adorn it, and the Christmas tree itself has grown from seed for this ONE PURPOSE .... TO GLORIFY the birth of the King of Kings.
I spend ALOT of time trying to pick just the right tree... because I know the joy it will bring us as we look back at all the preschool and childhood memories and crafts from my now teenagers, I love the ornament of Taj with his lil angel face when he was in Kindergarten, and the one of Aiyana when she was in Pre-k, and of course the Gator ornament tradition Aunt Becky started when Jaden was born!
The Picasso in all of us comes out as we try to create the best "Dollar Tree" plastic ornament we can make during our ornament decorating competitions... It's the cheapest way to have a whole lot of fun!!!
My favorite ornament is the Teddy Bear ornament with its tattered nose... it is the only thing I have from my childhood... so for me ...it is extra special.
Growing up in a single parent household, it was tough on my mom to pull it off every year... but she did... and GOD provided!
But what I REALLY like is looking at the tree adorned in all its Glory... the joy it brings me to know that It's ONE AND ONLY purpose was this moment right here..right now.. to build this tradition I am building with my kids, to reflect the love and legacy of our family,  to reflect the Light of Christ with the lights that glimmer and shine as the Angels proclaim the coming of the newborn king.
So to me ...it is a lil more than just a tree. Just as Christ was born to Glorify the Father and would live and die for this purpose.... this tree was born to Glorify CHRIST... the coming of the King... and to hold the love of a family and our Love for HIM.
GLORY TO THE NEWBORN KING!
